NEW LOCATION, NEW DIRECTOR, SAME NAME, SAME GREAT TOURNAMENT

After fourteen years Kelly, JoAnn, Mark, and myself are stepping away.  For several years, we’ve been hoping to convince some younger folks in our community to take it over, but we didn’t have any luck.   However, this past fall we were approached by Champions For Life, Inc., and they requested to take over the tournament.  After learning about their organization’s mission, we were all in, and we hope you will be too.  

We are incredibly grateful to the thousands of players, family members, officials, and most of all, the community volunteers that made GOS so successful.  The tournament will still be called Girls of Summer, however, it’s moving down the road to Everest Park, 5343 County Route 72B, Auburn, NY. This year’s tournament will be held on May 31st.  I’ve attached Champions For Life’s mission statement below, as well as a link to their registration page.  They are an outstanding organization, and we sincerely hope that you support them, just as you have supported us throughout these many wonderful years. Champions For Life, Inc (CFL) is a non-profit organization operating at multiple sites throughout Central New York, serving thousands of people, primarily children, each year.  Our mission is to build character through sports and recreation, as well as other programs and activities that foster a love of God, the dignity of the human person, family unity, and respect for others.  The tournaments at Everest Park help Champions For Life generate revenue needed to sustain our charitable programming opportunities that serve families throughout the Central New York area.
